Purpose

The purpose of this study was to identify how prioritization of needs over time impacts growth capacity and motivation. For one year, the same daily activity was done to see what growth might occur and under which conditions. Paying close attention to how time was spent and general state of well-being, detailed records were kept to identify daily activity, hours awake, and mood.

Evidence suggests that engaging mindfully in a simple activity, on a regular basis (daily) will result in greater self-awareness, barrier identification, and a true understanding of the growth process. This project allowed for deep understanding of the self  & the impact of the external environment, which supported creative exploration & skill development.

By consistently engaging in daily self-awareness and purposeful action, roadblocks can be identified and overcome to improve motivation, and develop self-efficacy. Self-efficacy is considered the foundation for long-term growth and development.
