About

The Shiba Foundation is a Scientific 501(c)(3) non-profit that engages in Community Research and Action using evidence-based approaches. We focus on skill development, community engagement, and long-term sustainable change. At its core, the Foundation empowers individuals to explore their passions, build self-efficacy, and engage in meaningful work through hands-on opportunities in entrepreneurship, leadership, community development, and personal well-being.

The Foundation is led by a diverse group of self-motivated learners from around the world. Our team is constantly developing and applying new skills and perspectives.

All of the Foundation's programs are both accessible and built on sustainable practices. By prioritizing cooperative collaboration, the aim is to support individual growth while simultaneously creating a broader impact on the community.

Each of the Foundation's projects is individualized by design. Rather than prescribing a fixed program, participants identify a project that aligns with their own goals, values, and sense of purpose; one that also contributes meaningfully to their community.

Projects vary widely in focus and scope. What they share is a common framework: each is structured using scientific methods, with clearly defined goals, measurable outcomes, and ongoing reflection. Participants are not simply completing tasks, they are developing skills, building confidence, and contributing to something larger than themselves.

The SEA Pipeline Leadership Program

Neurodivergent professionals face two career barriers that rarely get addressed directly: communication and workplace relationships. Not because of a lack of ability, but because most workplaces were never designed with neurodivergent minds in mind.

The SEA Pipeline Leadership Program invests in neurodivergent leadership development as a direct, evidence-based response to those barriers.

Built on the SEA model — Stability, Efficacy, Advocacy — the program helps participants build personal stability, develop confidence in their own abilities, and learn to advocate for themselves effectively in professional settings.

Research consistently shows that psychological safety, self-efficacy, and mutual understanding between colleagues are the conditions under which neurodivergent individuals thrive. This program creates those conditions, and develops the leaders who carry them forward.
